Kameko Thomas, M.A. understands the unique relationship between storytelling and healing, better than most. Storytelling is what gave her the courage to share her experiences as a Black Woman veteran living with PTSD – a unique intersection of race, gender and disability hardly – if ever – discussed.

Through using narrative as catharsis, Kameko was finally able to start the journey toward healing that racialized ableism, sexism, and intra-racial terrorism made next-to-impossible.

Ms. Thomas hopes to lead by example, inspiring other marginalized voices to claim the healing they've been ruthlessly denied.
